1. Service Scope

spectre helps users identify likely account traces in supported mailbox data, prepare erasure or data-rights request drafts, and send reviewed requests through supported channels. Organisation features may support queues, schema capture, audit runs, witness-style logs, and API-based workflows.

Users remain responsible for checking recipients, request content, identity details, and whether sending a request is appropriate.

2. What spectre Does Not Do

  • spectre does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
  • spectre is not a statutory Data Protection Officer substitute.
  • spectre does not guarantee that a controller will erase data or respond in a specific way.
  • spectre cannot delete data directly from third-party systems.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You must connect only accounts you are authorised to use.
  • You must review all request drafts before transmission.
  • You must not use spectre for unlawful, abusive, misleading, or unauthorised requests.
  • You acknowledge that organisations may retain data where legal duties or exemptions apply.

4. Payments, Delivery, and Refunds

Paid tiers are made available according to the product description shown at checkout. Where a statutory consumer withdrawal right applies, it remains unaffected. If a request has already been generated, transmitted, or a digital service has been substantially performed at your request, refund eligibility may be limited as permitted by law.

5. Availability and Liability

spectre is provided with reasonable care, but uninterrupted availability, perfect classification, exact organisation matching, and third-party compliance cannot be guaranteed. Liability is limited according to applicable law and cannot be excluded where exclusion is legally prohibited.

6. Governing Law and Provider

These Terms of Engagement are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in a user's country of residence. Data protection matters are additionally subject to the GDPR and applicable German data protection law.
